Commonwealth Cricket Club (CCC)

Cricket is a sport played by people of all ages and backgrounds throughout the Commonwealth. The CCC is an initiative of Commonwealth Community Capital to link children around the world through the medium of cricket and to offer them - regardless of race, gender or religious affiliation - the opportunity to play the sport.

Aims of the CCC:

  • To promote cricket among school children of all ages throughout the Commonwealth
  • To hold a biennial CCC competition for the top senior school team from each Commonwealth country
  • To facilitate inter-country cricket matches at junior school level
  • To use cricket as a means of breaking down racial and religious barriers
  • To establish a scholarship fund to enable promising players from disadvantaged backgrounds to attend member schools
  • To establish a CCC coaching academy in each Commonwealth member country for both able bodied and disabled children
